ACT Educator's Forum

Each year at the Annual Therio Conference the Theriogenology Foundation sponsors an ACT Educator's Forum

This year the forum will be held at the Annual Therio Conference in Asheville, North Carolina at the Omni Grove Park Inn

Saturday, July 30, 2016

Please join us Saturday morning, July 30 from 7:15 a.m. - 10 a.m. for the ACT Educator’s Forum. 

1. Lecture on “Clinical skills learning theory and how to provide effective feedback”
2. Reproductive model potpourri mini presentations – 3 minute talks by those willing to share their use of models in the curriculum - what they have, what they use it for, learning objectives, etc
3. Display of reproductive models – those willing to bring their models with them can display them and show other educators the model along with instructions for building and use

Mission Statement

The mission of the ACT is to promote animal well-being, reproductive health, responsible breeding and genetic practices, and efficient management of breeding-age animals in agriculture, veterinary practice, zoos, preserves, and ecosystems. In particular, the ACT envisions development of focus areas in theriogenology to incorporate the following in theriogenology/reproductive medicine:

1. Population control for domestic and non-domestic animals including feral animals, free-ranging and captive wildlife.

2. Genomics in livestock and companion animal practice.
