Interested in becoming an ACT Diplomate?

The following information is provided to help you in your quest to become a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists. After reviewing this material, please feel free to contact the ACT office at ACT@Franzmgt.com or call 334-395-4666 with any additional questions. Applications to sit for the 2017 ACT Exam are due December 1, 2016!!! 
 

Deadlines to note:

- Alternate route requests for registration of the 104-week mentored study program – June 1 or December 1
-  Credentials packet submission – December 1
-  Credentials packet submission (Re-application) – December 1
-  Submission of fee for credentials application or re-application – December 1
-  Submission of fee for sitting the exam – April 15

General Information

Below is a list of documents you are required to complete and submit for the application process.

Credentials may be submitted electronically by selecting this option on the Exam Application remittance form. Applicants will receive a Dropbox link to submit credentials.

(Please do not use staples) 

A - Credentials Checklist  (updated 11/18/16)

B - Petition to Candidacy 

C - CV Format

D - Photocopy of diploma, certificate or license

E - A half-page personal biography

F - Confidentiality Agreement (updated 9/4/13)

G - Special Accommodations Request (required)

H - Publication, Teaching, CE Form (Publication, Teaching, CE Form - pdf version) (updated 11/18/2016)

M - General Self Assessment Form  (General Assessment Form - pdf version)

The Above files need to be compiled on a CD or USB drive if not submitting electronically. 

 

Additional items below (submitted through Dropbox)

I - Training Advisor Letter (Progress or completion letter from the applicant's training advisor) 

J & K - Reference Letters (Letters of referral from two ACT Diplomates other than your advisor)

L - Transcript of all graduate studies (if applicable)

Mission Statement

The mission of the ACT is to promote animal well-being, reproductive health, responsible breeding and genetic practices, and efficient management of breeding-age animals in agriculture, veterinary practice, zoos, preserves, and ecosystems. In particular, the ACT envisions development of focus areas in theriogenology to incorporate the following in theriogenology/reproductive medicine:

1. Population control for domestic and non-domestic animals including feral animals, free-ranging and captive wildlife.

2. Genomics in livestock and companion animal practice.
